HEAVENLY WANDERERS

Heavenly Wanderers

Silent tumult,

In ebb and flow

Pearls of white

Lift flakes of snow

Ephemeral strings

Strung against the sky

A pageant of characters

Dance across the blue.

Quietly and slowly

Building in strength

Climbing walls of thunder

Then dissolving into rain.

Muffled in shadows they slip by

 In shapes of dragons

And images of perception;

Chiseled beaks

And softened cheeks

They grow and grow

Building castles in the air.

Then like a dream

Turn to ether,

Misty grips unclenched

Like chariots

Take their cargo

Of angels and demons

Far, far, away

To gazing wanderers

Exciting enchantment

and warming Imagination.
